In San Francisco, where marriage equality began, nearly a decade ago, LGBT San Franciscans were joined by many straight allies for a lively street party on Castro Street, the city’s self-described "gayborhood."
It was an amazing 2015 Pride for San Francisco, which celebrated its 45th anniversary. Over two million people flocked to Market Street to see 35 floats, 230 contingents, and to celebrate marriage equality in all 50 states!
It was milestone year for San Francisco Pride as we celebrated not only the forty-fifth year of the original Pride March, but the Supreme Court Ruling on Same-Sex Marriage. Over two million people packed Civic Center park!
The theme for this year's Pride Pier Dance is "Complete the Dream." A fantastic time was had by all, with DJ's The Cube Guys from Italy, Wayne G from the UK and Ralphie Rosario from Chicago, along with a fantastic performance from Ariana Grande.
