Pretty Little Liars: The Complete Second Season
"Pretty Little Liars" is like bubble-gum flavored crack. The show’s second season, available on DVD, takes the show’s intensity ten steps further. All the dramatic moments, mystery and teen girl catfights are anted up. The DVD will leave you watching each episode as fast as you possibly can.
The second season is intense. Not only are the stakes higher in the lives of the liars but things get more and more dangerous as they approach unveiling the true identity of "A." Audiences do get to find out the true identity of "A" but that is just the tip of the iceberg for the series.
The DVD special features include some really fun featurettes. "Fashion’s Guilty Pleasure" profiles the unique and distinct outfits on the show. Costume Designer Mandi Line shares her experience in shaping the individual styles of the main characters. She also shares how on-trend they tend to be and oftentimes define trends for teen girls.
"Men of Mystery" profiles the male stars of the show. It focuses on how actors like Ian Harding, Keegan Allen, Tyler Blackburn and Drew Van Allen offer a very distinct, and very hot, male presence on the show. The cast and creators of the show discuss how they were cast and offer some behind-the-scenes intel on kissing scenes and how often they end up shirtless.
The DVD does feature some unaired scenes but they tend to feature secondary characters discussing elements of the plot and seem unnecessary but there are a few gems worth owning.
