Do men really think about sex every 7 seconds? I always thought this was kinda suspect. I mean, who’s reading anyone’s thoughts that carefully?!! I know that sex is often on my mind, but certainly not that often.

According to Snopes.com, it’s not happening every 7 seconds. Here’s what they say:

According to the Kinsey Institute’s FAQ:
- 54% of men think about sex every day or several times a day,
- 43% a few times per month or a few times per week,
and 4% less than once a month."

The Kinsey Report was first published in 1948 and is still considered THE source for sex research.

So why does the notion that men think of nothing but sex persist? This is probably because the behavior of men are more sexually motivated than those of women. How much more? It’s all a matter of perception.
